Switch Get!

kaysperSo ah. For Christmas I was sorta... Kinda gifted a Switch. My first game I put on it is Fire Emblem: Warriors, and I'm a bit like a little kid on a massive sugar high right now. So forgive me if I get a bit gushy and capslock-y. (My other games are Smash Bros Ultimate, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2!)
I'm really excited to have this system. The joycons as it turns out are very nice to hold, and really do fit in with a satisfying "CLICK" sound. I understand why the logo makes the sound it does. And I do hum the Imagine Dragons song "Believer" to myself as I boot it up.
As for Fire Emblem: Warriors... I did a full on fan squeak when Lucina (sorry, when MARF) showed up. And screaming "SAME ENTRANCE! SAME ENTRANCE!" As well as telling the female blonde twin that sorry, she's awesome and all, but there's a new main character.
Whereupon Lucina pulled her usual "shows up, is a badass, and then vanishes" act. And I found myself going "...Well, at least she's consistent in her actions. And hits like a goddamn truck." (There's something very nice about the fact that the precious blueberry daughter hits hard, in all her appearances.) I'm still a bit in the "PLAY ALL THE GAMES!" mode, which makes me happy. It's good to be excited about a new system.

Date: 2019-03-09 10:57 am (UTC)I played the daylights out of a couple of the Gundam Musou games, and a bit of the Zelda one, and it comes back pretty quickly.
I really need to learn to play as some of the flying characters at some point. I can do okay with mounted, but asdfjarehfjfg flying. ^^;;
