State of the Video Games: December

So! For December, this is what I'm looking at playing:

Current/Ongoing:
Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. I admit I'm not paying much attention to the plot, in favor of sailing my pirate ship and collecting all the things. But you know? I'm (mostly) having fun playing my pirate game, and that's what matters.
Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age. Still in the initial part of the game (I think) with needing to go rescue Penelo. But I want to get back into playing and continuing with the plot!

Replaying:
Fire Emblem: Awakening. Always. Always replay Awakening. If the question is "are you playing some iteration of Awakening, Kay?" the answer is yes.
Abzu. It is my relaxing game! I can always boot it up and swim around with the fishies, and wind down.

Upcoming:
SMASH WEEK. A friend of mine is going to finish her nursing school finals, after which we're gonna grab her Switch, buy a copy of Smash Bros: Ultimate, and go up to Breckenridge for a week of Smash.

Maybe over the holidays I can get back to the latest Awakening game that I started, which is pretty much 'marry f!Robin to Priam, for reasons'.

I admit, I'm boring and predictable. I always go with Chrom/Robin as my main pairing, and then vary it up with the other cast. (Apart from Frederick/Sumia because those two are also darling and sweet.) Mostly what I do for variations are skill sets and re-classes, since there's a lot of options there.

what other pairings are you thinking of doing? i just did a run-through where i did nothing but the cutest pairings with no thought for how the stats would come out. (frederick/miriel is delightful, but not a great idea stat-wise.) also, i do think chrom/robin is best. it's always adorable, and has so much great extra stuff throughout the game.

Well, so far I have Lissa with Vaike (cute chemistry and banter!) Miriel with Kellam, Virion with Panne (drinking wine under the full moon!) Lon'qu with Cordelia, Gregor with Cherche, Henry with Olivia (they get a puppy!) Stahl with Sully and Libra with Maribelle! And of course Frederick with Sumia, since they're my main standby.

oh, those sound good! i don't think i've ever seen virion and panne before, but that's adorable. and i had no idea about henry and olivia! that's great. and i love the idea of lon'qu and cordelia, i've put them together once or twice. i think it's cute that lon'qu ends up with such a loud, overtly feminine daughter.

Ever since I was told about the bonus lol of marrying Robin and Lucina, they've been my usual, and Chrom/Sumia. Though I can see Frederick and Sumia being adorable together. This time, going with Chrom/Olivia if I can, though, because I suddenly want a (textually, at least) Branded Inigo. (and to marry Priam)
