Hello to everyone on Dreamwidth, through various friending memes and the sort!

My Interests:
I like vidyagames! And I will likely blog about those the most. Currently my systems are: SNES, Gamecube, Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, 3DS, PSP, Xbone, PS4. I'm also in the market for a Switch at the moment, we'll see if I ever manage to get one.
My favorite video games are JRPGs, though I also enjoy a nice platformer, sandbox, or occasionally western RPG. The non-exhaustive list of favorite/passionate vidyagames includes:
Digital Devil Saga, Persona, Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Suikoden, Tales of, Legend of Heroes, Chrono Trigger, Odin Sphere, Ori, Mass Effect, Okami, Ogre Battle, Castlevania, Legend of Dragoon, Skies of Arcadia, Mega Man X, Devil May Cry, etc.
Odds are if it's a JRPG, Action Adventure, or Platformer, I've at least heard of it.
I also like tabletop RPGs! I tend to go for the more obscure stuff, though I'm at least familiar with the D&D mainstay. My favorite game line from D&D is Ravenloft, but I also know some Dark Sun and Mystara. I also know a lot of White Wolf lines, mostly from World of Darkness classic.
And sometimes I watch cartoons; currently my watch list is She-Ra and Castlevania. I have an unusually high amount of knowledge on stuff from the 90s, because that's when I watched the most TV.

My Squicks:
Do people still use "squick?" Can we bring back "squick" as a word? It is a good word. Anyways!
Rape
Incest
Misogyny
Homophobia
Are the big topics that will cause me to NOPE out of a conversation. Note that if you like to do fanworks or enjoy source material that tackles that stuff? That's cool and you do you; I'll probably shy away from conversations about it just because of my own comfort levels.

Overall Tone:
I'm mostly here for talking about stuff I like. Less so about fandom purity or the like, as tumblr has burned me out on that. I tend to get VERY wordy sometimes, as a heads up! Also my sense of humor is a bit of a WIP, so apologies in advance if my jokes fall really flat sometimes.

Access/Commenting: Please don't come in with the intent to pick a fight, kinkshame, or bash people's interests; whether that's pairings, canons, characters, etc. I will be very disappointed and unhappy if that happens. Otherwise feel free to comment, subscribe, etc!

Misc Warnings:
I may occasionally mention my mental stuff on here. (Anxiety and depression for those curious!) I have a sibling who struggles with alcoholism so that's also a thing, but one I hope doesn't have a lot of bearing on blog stuff.
Also watch out for the smut and occasional thirsty posts! I may make those sometimes, though I'll try to mark them as 18+ when I do!

Squick is such a good word, I'm 1000% in favor of bringing it back.

And I'm jealous of your obscure tabletop knowledge, haha - I got a little into it recently, just with the standard D&D stuff, but my DM's had a lot going on health-wise lately so I'm not sure when or if we'll be able to get back to it. I've always wanted to try some of the more unusual systems/adventures that I've read about, but I never have much luck with groups.

Nice to meet you! I'm admittedly not as interested in JRPGs as I used to be, but I see a lot of overlap between our fandoms, and I could always have more gaming talk on my reading page. I can definitely agree with being sick of "fandom purity." That was one of the reasons why tumblr never really clicked with me. For all its strengths, sometimes it felt like I was trying to navigate through a minefield. Some of my posts may touch on your squicks, just as a warning, but I always try to hide those behind links. Happy to have you on my page!

Edit: I also love your icon.

I've never heard of Blue Rose, but an RPG set around recreating sugary YA fantasy sounds like a ton of fun!

The PS1 games are good, but my favorite ever is still X1, SNES original flavor (even if MHX has interesting dialogue and the Day of Sigma OVA).

SotN + RoB + Netflix tends to be the starter kit/basic combo, actually. KLeep exploring the lore and see if you'll stay on those or migrate to another game. Seriously, I started last year as a huge Alucard stan and now my favorite is Juste Belmont (Simon's grandson, Richter's probable father or grandfather). The setting is so rich ♥

(I am so late to respond to this ugh.) Tales of Symphonia was also my first Tales game and the first "big" RPG I really got involved in. I remember playing a lot of Final Fantasy VII back in the day, but not nearly as much as I did Symphonia. I think it just comes down to me liking the Symphonia cast more. It was pretty much all I played in the summer of 2004.
